CERAMIC SCULPTURES

Is The Nude Figure  and Animals.

 I work with high  fire ceramics/ Stoneware. I work by using the main hand building  methods; slab, coil and pinch or shaping with fingers and tools. I do  not bisque but use the once fire technique with a basic white glaze  designed for raw clay and colorants, Sometimes I leave the clay unglazed and fire it that way. 

 I have been  selling my work at such Gallerys  as the Arbor Academy of Fine Art  and at Public Shows and through my private Silverlake studio.

  I mainly work with stoneware clay and mostly work from the model. Often I  take an uninstructed workshop at Barnsdall Art Center where we have the  model in a long pose for 3 hours. 

 I take my clay and do my best to  capture that person in front of me. What ever the model and the room  suggest to me, I try to incorporate.  I also work with wood, trying to find  out what is inside the wood. Lately I have been combining small bits  of fused glass with some of my work both in clay and  wood.
